Notes:
* Through the years, the name has been spelled many different ways. Some time before 1850, Thomas changed the spelling of the name and this branch has used it since.
* In 1849, Elizabeth and her husband, James BEST moved to Wisconsin. Mercy and most of the remaining children moved with them. Only Andrew remained in New Jersey with Thomas. It is not known if they ever saw them again.
