Documentation:
* Richard Pearis left numerous records in VA, SC, and the Bahamas. His father's will and his Loyalist Petition provide detailed family information.
* Richard Pearis' daughter Sarah is the only child by Rhoda's who had issue.
* Richard Sr. also had a Cherokee family by at least one Cherokee woman; her name is not known. Richard identifies in a deed and deposition a Cherokee son named George; however, Moravian records establish that George had at least two sisters who may be Richard's daughters. The Cherokee mother of George Parris is not identified, but believed to be a sister to the warrior Savarooka also known as "The Raven of Chota." George was a cousin to James Vann.
* Elizabeth Pearis Jones left a detailed will dated 1806 indicating that her brother had no children and that her mother was still alive.
* Richard Jr.'s estate is mentioned by 1808 when his second wife posts a notice in the Bahamas. There is no record of any issue by either of his wives.
