Notes:
* William and Alonzo BABBITT and their father James, were employed by the United States Laboratory, in Albany, NY., when a young man, "Abram TOMS" was said to have "left his station, withholding information" that there was a fire and the building exploded, killing William and Alonzo. A poem was written by the poet, Silas BALLOU and this poem was read at the boys funerals, by their father. It is felt that the boys were buried in unmarked graves, at the Laboratory, although this is not proven. A copy of the very heart wrenching poem is in my files.
* James BABBITT was a Universalist, a traveling Preacher.
* According to the BABBITT family history book, "Warren BABBITT removed South."
