Estate of Joseph Sherman, minor

To the Honorable W. B. Tucker, Chief Justice of Tarrant Count, Texas. Your petitioner John Boricourt a citizen of said county hereby applies for letters of guardianship for the person and Estate of Joseph Sherman who will be eight years of age in Oct. 1867, and who is the child of Esra and Martha A. Sherman both of whom are dead. Said child is in said county, and is the Nephew of Petitioners wife, Sarah P. Boricourt. Said minor child has property only in Palo Pinto Count Texas valued in all at $400.00 and this application is made for the benefit of said minor and to secure its interest in said property. Petitioner prays that notice of this application be joined as is provided by law.... S/ John Boricourt. Notice Issued Sept. 1867.
