Relinquishment by Sarah (X) Rogers of "my right to administer on the
estate of Walling A. Rogers Deceased to my Son Thomas Rogers. 14 Feb. 1853.
Petition of Thomas Rogers who reports that "Walling A. Rogers late of the County of Tarrant departed this life on the [blank] day of February 1853 leaving a will disposing of his property but without naming any Executor in said will." He asks that the will be admitted to probate and that letters of administration be granted him. 14 Feb. 1853. Filed 28 Feb. 1853. Will of W. A. Rogers. Dated 25 January 1853.
I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Rogers all of my property
both personal and real to have during her natural life and at her death to
be equally devided amongst the heirs of her boddy. Bond of Thomas Rogers, administrator with the will annexed,$2544. Sureties: Henry Suggs and Seabourn Gilmore. Approved Feb. term 1853. Filed 28 Feb. 1853. Inventory and appraisal made March 4th by Charles Bakee [Baker], G. W. Minter, and James Cate. Total value: $1358. Two tracts of land were included in the inventory, the acreage not stated. Filed 18 April 1853. Application of Thomas Rogers, Admr, for final settlement and discharge. Filed 28 Feb. 1854. |
