Guardianship of Lemuel C. Adams, Minor

 
Petition of Lemuel C. Adams to choose his own guardian:
"Fourt Worth, Texas. May 23, 1857. Your Pattione a resident miner in the County of Tarrant and State of Texas prays your honor to appoint... Wm. F. Addams my guardian with full power to take into his charge my affects as acoming to me from my fathers estate...." S/ Lemuel C. Adams.

Bond of Wm. F. Adams, guardian: $3500. Sureties: Julian Feild, Lawrence Steel. 30 June 1857.

Inventory and appraisal "of the undivided property belonging to W. F. Adams and L. C. Adams, a minor 1 negro man, Sim; negro woman Ann; negro girl Hess; negro girl, Silvia; negro girl, Calaline; 1 Boy Charles." Appraisers: Thos. C. Moody and Lawrence Steel. 25 February 1859.
