Spring Garden Cemetery
Bedford, Texas

 

This inventory appeared in the November 1982 issue of Footprints, the quarterly publication of the Fort Worth Genealogical Society. It is reprinted here with permission.

The site of Spring Garden Cemetery has been demolished both by agricultural operations and by residential development for the past few years. The graves, now indistinguishable, lie directly south of the Texas Historical Marker for Spring Garden Cemetery, in Bedford along Cheek-Sparger Road a short distance west of Jackson Drive. Those monuments which have been discovered are now in the custody of the Tarrant County Historical Commission.

Persons whose monuments have been recovered:

Jesse O. Boyles, b. Feb. 8, 1865, died Sept. 30, 1867

R. M. Wade, b. Nov. 29, 1841, died Dec. 20, 1870
