Perry Cemetery

This small reconstructed cemetery is located east of Mansfield at the northeast corner of the intersection of Ragland Road and Ragland Exterision Roads (County Rd.#2016). The six to eight original grave markers and ornamental fence were removed about 1964. Only one of the markers has been recovered, that of Sarah J. (Gibson) Perry (Born Jan.16, 1828 - Died Oct.2, 1855), the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte Perry. Perry, a veteran of the Confederate Army, was an early settler in the Mansfield area. He is buried in the Estes Cemetery. The wrought iron fence has been replaced. He was also a cousin of Col. Middleton Tate Johnson.
