I am having trouble finding the births and deaths of two of my fathers brothers. The family
says they were both born after 1911 and before 1920 in Fort Stockton, but we are not sure of the dates. J. D. MOORE and
Raymond MOORE were their names. One died as an infant and the other drowned as a toddler. Their parents were Eugene
Hayes MOORE and Sarah Azzlee YARBROUGH MOORE, and their grandparents were John Lee MOORE and Roxie Octavene ROBERTS
MOORE, all of Fort Stockton. John Lee was Pecos County Commissioner in the early 1920's. I have checked state and county
files and there seem to be no records on either of them. The oldest child was born in 1911 so I know their births are
after that, and they had died before the census was taken in 1920. They are possibly buried in Easthill Cemetery with
others in the family but I have been unable to verify that too.

Hi, I'm trying to find a KIEFER connection in the Pecos, Texas area. From what I have learned
a member of my Kiefer family (most likely a Harry KIEFER) left Pennsylvania and settled in Texas. Rumor has it that he
started a sheep farm around the Pecos area. It's possible that he may have remarried in Texas (his first wife died and
he left his son to be raised by his parents in Pennsylvania). There may be an individual who owns a small restaurant in
the Pecos area with the name "KIEFER" in it. My aunt talked to him briefly when she was in the Pecos area and
he admitted to his father having family from Pennsylvania. I'm trying to determine if he is part of this KIEFER family.

I submitted this in 1999 and am still looking for the information. Please help if you can. On
Jan 12, 1913 Wallace BRITAIN who ranched near Ft. Stockton was murdered; shot in the back while opening his ranch gate.
A suspect was arrested, tried and acquited. For family history purposes I would like to know the name of the person who
was tried and acquited. This I understand was a sensational trial at the time. If anyone who may have access to old
newspaper or court records could look up this information or tell me where I can find it I would be greatly appreciated.
