Graveside services for J.C. Idell Jr., 77, of Iraan, Texas, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Restland Cemetery in Iraan with the Rev. Jesus Galindo officiating.

Mr. Idell was born January 24, 1924, in Thackerville, and died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at his home in Iraan.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a production manager for Helmerich Payne before his retirement. Mr. Idell had lived in Iraan since 1946, and was a member of the Iraan Christian Church. He was also a member of the Iraan Lions Club, the Cemetery Association, past member of the NRA Rifle Club of Iraan, the Iraan Golf Club, and the Iraan Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Nanette Idell of McCamey, Texas; three sisters, Lois Roberson and Helen Young of Gainesville, Texas, and Mary Pace of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, James Idell of McCamey, Kevin Idell of Crane, Texas, and Pamela Holden of Denver, Colorado; seven great- grandchildren, Howard Tarpley, Julianne Idell, Shelby Wright, J.W. Idell, Brody Idell, Adam Wright and Sidney Idell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Idell was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, in September 1989.

Nell M. Drugan Ivey
Nell M. Drugan Ivey of Imperial, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton at the age of 78. She was born December 21, 1928, in Miami, Arizona, to George and Leone Drugan. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired from the Imperial Public Library.

When she was five years old the family moved to Socorro, Texas, where she was raised on a farm with her two brothers, George and John, and two sisters, Mary and her twin Leone. She had a wonderful life on the farm. On January 31, 1948, she married Bill Ivey and raised 11 children.

She was preceded in death by her husband: a son, James Douglas Ivey; her parents: George and Leone Drugan; her sister: Mary and husband Bob Mitchell; brother: John and wife Joan Drugan; and her brother: George Drugan.

Survivors include her children, Michele and husband Larry Wahnsiedler of Owensboro, Kentucky; Patricia and husband Bobby Lettunich of Fabens, Texas; M.K. (Kathi) and husband Wayne McChristian of Richardson, Texas; Teresa and husband John Orr of Clint, Texas; Billy and wife Stephanie Ivey of Imperial, Texas; King and wife Vickie Ivey of Houston, Texas, Paul and wife Kenna Ivey of Imperial, Texas; Nellie and husband Ron McDowell of Imperial, Texas; Gary and wife Lyn Ivey of El Paso, Texas; Warren and wife Sarah Ivey of Midland, Texas; Paula and husband Scott Kesner of El Paso, Texas. She was known as Ama to her 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A viewing was held at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home on Friday, April 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a time of sharing with family and friends at 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held in Fabens, Texas on Sunday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m. with a funeral mass following on Monday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Imperial Public Library P.O. Box 307 Imperial, TX 79743.
