Frederic J. Ellyson Jr.
Frederic Julian Ellyson Jr. was born in Dallas, to Vivien Hudson Ellyson and Frederic Julian Ellyson Sr. He was reared in Fort Stockton, and was a 1945 graduate of Fort Stockton High School.
Fred was graduated from Sul Ross in 1950 with bachelor of music and bachelor of science degrees. That fall he began teaching in a small studio in Odessa. On December 21 of that year, he married Nancy Marian Kuykendall, an English teacher in the Odessa Public Schools, at the First Presbyterian Church in Odessa. In 1957, their son, John Frederic, was born in Fort Stockton.

Johnny Escareno, Roswell, NM
Johnny Escareno, Roswell, NM, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was 56 years old. He was born September 15, 1950, in Fort Stockton to Manuel T. and Julia Yharte Escareno.
Johnny moved to Artesia, NM, in 1990 from California and then to Roswell, NM, in 1995. He was a tire technician for Lykins Tire and was of the Catholic denomination. He loved to tinker with old cars, collect hats, and woodwork.

Jimmy Rivera Escajeda
Jimmy Rivera Escajeda, Seminole, died Monday, May 21, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was 52 years old. He was born December 31, 1954 in Fort Stockton to Sebero and Petra Escajeda.
Jimmy and Elsa Luna were united in marriage December 31, 2000, in Seminole. He was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista, a former member of the Los Camaradas Motorcycle Club, a pipe fitter and worked for Amerada Hess & Ref-Chem in Seminole.

Severo "Cookie" Escajeda, 69, of Fort Stockton, a retired maintenance supervisor at Firestone Test Track, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Chaumont officiating. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home. He was born in Oakland, Calif., and he was a U.S. Marine. He was Catholic. SURVIVORS: Wife, Dominga Escajeda of Fort Stockton; sons, Orlando Escajeda of Odessa, Jimmy Escajeda, Armando Escajeda, Cookie Escajeda and Cesar Escajeda, all of Fort Stockton; daughter, Maris Escajeda of Midland; brothers, Antonio Escajeda of Pomona, Calif. and Lupe Escajeda of Van Horn; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren |

Santos R. Esparza, 88, of Fort Stockton, a retired crew supervisor for Pecos County Precinct 4, died Thursday, June 4, 1998, at his residence. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery . Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home. He was born in Fort Stockton and was a lifelong resident. He was Catholic. Felicitas Perez Escamilla, 72, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Thursday, July 23, 1998, in Fort Stockton. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Sister Mariam Tracey. Rosary was said Friday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery . Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home. She was born in Sanderson and moved to Fort Stockton in 1963. She was a Catholic. Harvey W. Elam Jr, 79, of Fort Stockton, a farmer, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, in Fort Stockton. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Hill officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home. He was born in Faben and moved to Fort Stockton in 1962. He was Baptist. SHEFFIELD-William Thadious Evans, 78, of Sheffield died at his home here at 9:25 p.m. Saturday after an illness of 11 years. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Sheffield Church of Christ with burial in Sheffield Cemetery under direction of Cody Funeral Home of Ozona. Mr. Evans was born in Williamson County Jan. 19, 1879. He married the former Miss Bertha Scott of Sheffield in 1916. He had lived in Pecos County since he was a young man. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Calvin and Gene Evans,both of Sheffield, and Alvin Evans of Iraan;, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of Sheffield and Mrs. Willie Lancaster of Fort Stockton;, one brother, Evan Evans of Ozona; one sister, Mrs. Iva Stone of Del Rio, and nine grandchildren. Claude Eugene Everett, Sr
Claude Eugene Everett, Sr., age 81, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007 at his residence in Odessa, Ector County, Texas. He was born Thursday, March 11, 1926 in Brackettville, Kinney County, Texas to William Washington and Anna (Ward) Everett. Claude served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. December 3, 1954, he married the love of his life, Gladys Ridgway. Together they raised four children. Previously Snyder residents, they moved to Odessa in 1986.
