Senior Will

We, the Senior Class of Fort Stockton High School, County of Pecos and State of Texas, being desirous of settling our affairs with the Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen while we have strength and capacity, therefore do make, publish and declare this to be our last will and testament:

I, Helen McDowell, do leave to Donald Moffat my quiet nature, my Senior dignity, and above all thing my sweet disposition.

I, Frank Nevans, do hereby will to Cassie Smith my knowledge in History, realizing that I am not giving much; to Professor Reeves my craving for gossip, advising him to catch all scandal before it is twelve hours old.

I, Helen Dorr, do hereby bequeath in this my last will and testament, under the jurisdiction of Professor Crain, my pimples to Ann Nita Perry, my light hair to Louise Beeman, whose tresses are far too dark; my great debating ability, I leave to whoever may be so unfortunate as to need it.

I, Marion Morehouse, being in my right mind, and in full possession of what sense I've got, do hereby leave my perfect electric curling iron to Patty Harral, admonishing her to use it faithfully; my surplus avoirdupois I bequeath in its entirety to Roberta Douglass, and my fat-reducing cream to Julia Mae Bihl.

I, Mary Gibson, leave my great size and excess heigh to Walter Buz, who is so very much in need of it. Perhps with that added to what he has will be able to be seen once in a while. I also leave my inability to flirt to Recie Moore.

I, Granville Moore, being in my right mind, do hereby bequeath to Paul Valentine all my demerits, and my athletic ability to Charlie Ogle.

I, Murray Johnson, do hereby bequeath one-half on my ability as an athlete to Ralph de la Moniere and the other half to Myrl Stor, (I am dividing it, since one boy could not handle it all!); my winning smiles and cunning disposition to Beulah Lewis, and my empty hair-tonic bottles to Coach Durham, who is so badly in need of them.

I, Lawrence Whitehead, do bequeath my way with the ladies and independent disposition to Paul Crone, duly instructing him to cause as much mischief with the superintendent as I do.

I, Frank McSpeddon, do hereby will all my Spaniish ability to Bob Blalock, my ability to write notes to Myrl Storey, and my quiet peaceful ways to Laurel Frazier.

I, Clifford Odom, will all my ability to play football to Jim Hone Warnock, my mushy love notes to John W. Rotan, my ability to win bets to Charlie Ogle, and oh yes -- my last fifty cents to Vernice Paul for a haircut.

I, Ruth Brown, do hereby bequeath my small amount of interest I'm supposed to have in the Annual to Snooks Price, and my gentle power of persuading Mr. Reeves to change his mind to Ann Nita Perry, hoping she uses it to the best of her ability.

I, Alene Frazier, do bequeath my regular, pearly teeth to Lucille Furgason, and my beautiful curly hair to Mary Lois Green, hoping, however, that they will not affect them as they have me.

I, Ara Smith, do leave my winning ways to Wilma Rooney; my physics knowledge to Charles Rollins and my complexion to Beatrice King.

I, Nancy Moore, do bequeath my charming freckles to Charlie Ogle, my Geometry knowledge to Paul Valentine, and my effeciency in everything to Garland Casebier.

I, Nonis Reed, leave my good nature to Beatrice Barrett and my friendliness to Maxine Gibson.

I, Ward Winter, will "my way with all fish" or at least as much as I can spare under the circumstances, to Charlie Ogle. This is all that I feel justified in leaving behind.

I, James Ogle, leave my study of nature to Foster Binion, and my art of explaining and discussing any subject to Celeste Carll.

I, Sheldon Bell, leave my president's chair to the best-fitted Senior of next year. I sincerely hope he gets along with the Juniors as well as I did.

I, Lois Gray, do bequeath my beautiful plumpness to Jessie Moody, my flippant manners to Snooks Price, and my Latin grades to Miss Hall.

I, Jack Gilkerson, do hereby bequeath my English knowledge to Patty Harral, with the provision that she accomplish great things with it. May you all profit by these many and generous gifts, which we have so unselfishly heaped upon you.

To the faulty as a whole we leave the combined general intelligence of the class with the suggestion that they use it liberally. If we had any tact we would bequeath that, for Goodness knows, they need it.
