 1908 - Postcard picture taken from the top of the Courthouse. On the back it talks about the breeze is good there. Probably the top of these old Courthouse's during the day was a place open to the public for people to "cool" off. |

 Tuleta Medio Creek Bridge. It was a postcard postmarked May 11, 1909. The card was mailed to a mans sister in Missouri and states this is the new bridge he had just worked on. As you can see there is no dirt yet at the approach to the bridge. Asking life long reisdences of Tuleta, it was found no one had any recollection of seeing this bridge. Possibly it was wiped out by flooding not too long after it was built. |
 Peter Unzicker home (Founder of Tuleta) circa.1911 Written on back: "Dear Bro, It's me on the other side of this card. How do you like to go to school I asked you a lots but you don't tell me. Uncle John is got a little store now.(Vernon)". Addressed to MR. S.P. Unzicker Goshen, College, Ind. If you look behind the yard gate you can barely see a young boy, the letter writer. |

BEE OIL & REFINERY in Pettus, Texas. One of the pic's is dated 1936. In one pic there is a small highway mileage sign. Under magnification it has TULETA 3 and looks to be SINTON 41. This would place this old plant on the south edge of Pettus on the West side of the road. There is no evidence today the plant was ever there and old timers can't recall it either. Must not have lasted long after these pictures were taken. |
