* Rev. Frank Wilson was a Methodist minister and farmer. The Wilson Family lived in San Augustine, Texas, until 1848 when they moved to Newton County. The Wilson Family was moving to Bosque County, Texas, in the winter of 1865 when a snowstorm on Christmas Day forced them to make camp in Moscow, Texas. While they were camping, two of their horses got away and while searching for them, the Wilsons found 1,100 acres for sale in the Ollie Community of Polk Co. The Wilson and Rice Families purchased this property and settled down. After the death of his wife, Harriet, in March 1886, Frank Wilson returned to Newto County where he courted a widow named Elizabeth (Betty) Horger Alson. She was the widow of Dr. John Alston. Frank and Betty were married Oct. 2, 1886, in Newton Co., Tx. They returned to Polk County and settled. Frank and his first wife, Harriet, are buried in the Rice Cemetery in Polk County, Texas.
* Frank and Harriet Wilson's oldest son, Francis Morgan Wilson, was widowed when his wife, Mary, died in 1891. Francis M. Wilson married a young widow, Jane Wingfield, on Nov. 30, 1892, in Leon Co., Texas.
* Frank and Harriet Wilson's second son, Edward Henderson Wilson, was widowed when his wife, Mariah Oates, died about 1875. Edward married Nancy Floried CANON, on Nov. 23, 1876, in Polk Co., Texas. Nancy was the daughter of Robert Taylor CANON and Amanda Louisa BEARD.
