Among the guests were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from San Antonio, Rockdale and other points. * Biography: MANNING, MARY M. (1854~1939) Mary M. Fanning was born on January 30, 1854 in Austin, Texas. She was born to Richard S. Morgan of Tennessee and Susan E. Sneed of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mary married Dempsy Corbet Fanning on March 20, 1870 in Bremond, Texas. Dempsy served from Mississippi in Adams' Brigade, Gen. Loving's Div. He was discharged in Mississippi in 1865. Mary had no living children at the time of death and one sister named Mrs. J. A. McConnell. Mary entered the Confederate Women's Home on October 10, 1932 from Austin, Texas. She died on January 8, 1939 at the age of 84 years, 11 months."
