Notes:
* When Emaline's husband died, her oldest living son, Tom, brought her and the younger children in a covered wagon to her parent's home in Texas. Her father, Robert Bell SYPERT, was already deceased and her mother, Juliet, had apparently lived on what remained of their 500 acre farm alone, with the exception of a tenant farming family by the name of MOBLEY. Emaline died only 3 weeks after her arrival to Texas and when youngest son, Walter LeRoy was 4 yrs old. This would have been about 1880.
* Emaline was buried beside her Papa in the family cemetery in Ash Springs (about 2 miles SE of today's Hallsville, in Harrison County, Texas). Those that are buried at the site are: Robert Bell SYPERT, his wife--Juliet (HUNT) JACKSON SYPERT, Emaline Frances (SYPERT) BARKER, and the unknown name of a infant of a tenant farmer with the last name of MOBLEY.
* The children were raised mostly by the oldest son, Tom, with the oldest girls helping their grandmother, Juliet with the housekeeping and cooking.
