Documentation:
* James Anderson is the oldest son of Solomon and his third wife Elizabeth. His tombstone has the date of "1826" for his birth, but I believe this is an error.
* In 1860, James worked as a farmhand and his personal estate was valued at $50.00. A young woman, Amanda Williford (Age 33), also lived with James and Louisa.
* In the 1870 Census she was listed as a neighbor of James's sister Elizabeth and her husband Joseph Mitchell. Amanda lived in a house with Elizabeth Blackwood (James' Mother who had remarried after the death of Solomon in 1846) who was apparently a woman of some wealth owning several acres of real estate. According to the 1870 census, James was unable to read or write.
* In the 1880 census, his personal worth had grown to $129.00.
* By the late 1890's, James and Louisa had moved to Parker County, Texas, where he rented a farm, and on the census was written that only seven of their ten children were still living. All seven children along with their families also moved to Parker County.
* Early in the 1900's they moved to Knox County Texas, and after Louisa died in 1909, he lived with his son Solomon James.
* Solomon James was married to Emma Jane GIBSON on 28 Aug 1890, in Franklin County, TN.
* Abigail was married three times, the last husband's name was Elmer E LOW(E).
