Jan 1906 "DeKalb County Alabama Newspaper........... Dr. R.J. Patty, a well known citizen of this county, died in the Indian Territories on January 1st. He was there on a visit to his two daughters and his son when he was stricken. His remains were brought back to DeKalb and buried in Fairview cemetery....."
