Frederick Ham, Green County, NC to John Chase, Wayne Co. for $350 54 acres beginning
at a sweet gum on the run of Walnut Creek, Nancy Thompson's corner and runs with her line
N. 58 W. 253 poles to a stake her corner on the road then with the sd road N. 45 E. 27
pole to the run of Wiggins Branch then down the run of sd creek as it menders to the
beginning.

* Letters of Administrater of the Estate of Frederick Ham: Recorded page 39 in Letters
of Administration #40 - 1864, The State of South Carolina, Darlington District, by John J.
Russell Esqr Ordinary of Darlington District in the State aforesaid to Zachariah Ham.
Whereas Fredrich Late of the District of Darlington deceased, lately died interstate,
having while he lived, and at the time of his death divers goods, chattels, rights and
credits, within the State of South Carolina aforesaid, by means whereof the full
disposition and power of granting, the administration of all and singular the goods and
chattels rights and credits of the said deceased, and als undi ? the accounts calculations
and ? of the said administration, and a final dismission of the same to me is ? known to
belong: I desiring that the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said deceased
may be well and truly administered converted and disposed of so hereby grant unto the said
Zachariah Ham in whose fidelity in this behald I do confide full power, by the tenor of
these presents to administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said
deceased, which to ? in his lifetime and at the time of his death did belong: and to ask
levy recover and receive the same and to pay the debts which the deceased stood obliged so
far ? as his goods and chattels, rights and credits will exted according to their rote and
order of Law, being sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God to make a true and
perfect inventory thereof and to Exhibet the same into the Ordinary Office of Darlington
District in order to be recorded in or before the twenty fifth day of June 1864 next
ensuing; and to render a Just and True account, calculation, and reckoning of the said
administration when there - unto required. And I ordain def and constitute you the said
Zachariah Ham Administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits
of the said deceased. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal, the
Twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Sixty
four and in the 88th year of the independence of South Carolina

This Agreemet made the Eighteenth day of December one thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty
Five between Theophilus S. Ham, Zachariah Ham, Sarah Ham, Mary Copeland the wife of Rubin
Copeland, Cordelia Dowlin wife of S.S. Dowlin and Edgar M. Ham, all heirs of Fredrick Ham
decd all of the State and District aforesaid, of the first part and Zachariah Ham
Administrator of the Estate of the said Frederick Ham of the Second part. Witnesseth that
the said Theophilus S. Ham, Zachariah Ham, Sarah Ham, Mary Copeland the wife of Rubin
Copeland, Cordelia Dowlin wife of S.S. Dowling ? of the first part do solemnly agree? with
the said Administrator of the said Frederick Ham.

good causes - 60 acres on the waters of Jeffries Creek being the portion alloted to my
daughter Polly Packer now deceased on the division of the estate of Marmaduke Packer and
adjoins on the west the lands alloted to me in division of sd estate & also the lands
of Mr. Elias Muldrow formerly owned by one Allen Floyd. The lands now conveyed being all
the lands owned by Polly Packer and descended to me her mother and Heir at Law

Patience Packer to Fredrick Ham for $5 - 160 acres on the waters of Jeffries Creek on
the north by Jeffries Creek East by lands of Alexander Cole South by lands of Joseph Hodge
and West by a tract of land containing sixt acres lately owned by my daughter Polly Packer
and also by land of Mr. Elias Muldrow commonly known as Allen Floyd tract the lands
intended to be conveyed are the lands allotted to me as the widow of Marmaduke Packer on
the division of the Estate of said Marmaduke Packer. The said tract of land subject to the
uses herein named and no other uses That is to say for the use and bendfit of myself
during the period of my natural life and after my death for the use and benefit of John M.
Packer a natural son of my deceased daughter Polly Packer until he arrives at the age of
twenty one years the rents and profits to be applied by the said Frederick Ham and at his
discretion without accout to any one to the support and maintenance of the sd John M.
Packer from my decease until the said John M. Packer shall attain the age of twenty one
years then the sd lands shall be delivered up by the said Fredrick to the said John M.
Packer but if the said John M. Packer be dead at the time of my decease or if living he
shall die before he attain the age aforesaid the said land shall be held and enjoyed by
the sd Fredrick Ham and his heirs.
