* OBITUARY - 12/22/1920 Altoona Tribune Isaac Woomer, Civil war veteran, life long and widely known
resident of Spruce Creek valley, died at his home at Graysville at 4:00 Monday afternoon, after an illness
of several months. He was born at Huntingdon Furnace 7/9/1843, the son of Jacob and Mary Anne Woomer. Mr.
Woomer saw active service in the Civil War as a member of Co. I, 125th Pennsylvania volunteers, having
participated in the battles of Chancellorsville and Antietam. He was a life member of Tyrone lodge No.494,
free and Accepted Masons, also belonged to Harrisburg consistory, being a 32nd degree member. May 16, 1867,
he was united in marriage to Regina Rhodes, who died nearly a year ago. Surviving are the following children:
Jay F., of Juniata; Mrs. G. T. McWilliams, of Pennsylvania Furnace, Mrs. Dr. George Glass, of Uniontown; Mrs.
live Archey, of Graysville; Belle Woomer, of Altoona; Joseph K., of Gardner's Mills; Mrs. H. Hippincott, of
Haddonfield, H.J., and Edward K., residing at the Woomer homestead at Graysville, 11 grandchildren and 2
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the late home tomorrow morning at 10:30 in charged of
Dr. R. C. Campbill, pastor of the Graysville Presbyterian Church. Following, the Masonic order will take
charge and carry out full fitualistic obsequeis. Interment in Graysville Cemetery.
