At the time of the death of her brother Daniel in 1956, Martha was living in Poplar Run, PA OBITUARY - Altoona, PA "Mirror" issue of 14 February 1959 CALLED BY DEATH - Life Resident of Poplar Run Expires at Home Emanuel Wilt, 87, lifelong resident of Poplar Run where he engaged in farming for many years, died at his home at 9 p.m. yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilt marked their 56th wedding anniversary last June 1. Mr. Wilt was born at Poplar Run July 15, 1871, a son of Alpherd D. and Mary (Stiffler) Wilt, and on June 1, 1902, married Miss Martha A. Feather. He was a member of the Foot of Ten Independent Church and a charter and the oldest member of the Poplar Run Grange. Surviving are his wife, four children, Lester and Michael of Canfield, Ohio, Miss Ethel at the home, and Mrs. Frieda Dively of Hollidaysburg RD; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 p.m. tomorrow until 12 noon Tuesday and thereafter at the church.

Information from the work of Cherie Covan provides the following: EMANUEL WILT, owner of a farm of 125 acres in Juniata Township, Blair County, Pa., has been a life long resident of this county, and was born July 15, 1871, a son of Alfred and Mary (Stiffler) Wilt, and a grandson of David Wilt, who was one of the early settlers and prominent citizens of Juniata Township.
Emanuel Wilt has always resided in Blair County, Pa., and was educated in the schools at Poplar Run, Pa. He has from youth up been engaged in agricultural pursuits and is the owner of a fine farm of 125 acres in Juniata Township. Mr. Wilt was married June 4, 1902, to Martha A. Feather, of Blair County, Pa., and their union has resulted in the following issue: Ethel M.; Alpherd L.; Carl E.; and Frieda E. Mr. Wilt is a Republican, and is now serving his second term as a member of the board of auditors, of which he is also secretary. He holds membership with the Lutheran Church of Newry.
