Notes:
* George W. Sweesy moved to Perry Twp, Jackson Co. Iowa in 1849 from Pennsylvania. He served in the Civil War in
Company M of the 2nd Regiment of the Iowa Volunteer Cavalry. He and family moved to Halstead, Harvey Co. Kansas in 1872,
then to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1883. At various times George ran hotels, owned newspapers, and was a real estate
agent for the railroad. Around the turn of the 20th century the family moved to California.
