(d/o Martin Shaffer) never married * note had one son Peter Schaffer (no birth certificate) who had a son Christopher Shaffer b. 1808 marr. H. C. Kretshmar who had a daughter Henrietta E. Shaffer who married Levi Garrett and when he died became the richest woman in PA & when she died Nov. 16, 1930 the wealthest woman Pennsylvania ever produced. (Garret Snuf Factory Phila.) Thinking that all the family's related to that family would get a pice of the pie sort of speaking So in 1930 there was a Smith Lady From Brookville (Related) that went around to all the relations and keeping a record. which I now have a part of the history going back to Leonhard Shaffer b. Jan 21, 1644 Ger. Martins g-granddad I was lucky to have had contact with here before she died. My father now 91 was expecting a wagon, but it seems the momey was all taken by lawyers and such. My g-g- grandmother was Hannah Shaffer g-daughter of Peter Shaffer.
