Vaclav came to America at the age of 20 in 1881. He became a citizen in 1889 in Harrison Co. MO. He married Marie Dolecek, and they lived at different times in Cainsville MO and Diagonal IA. He died at the age of 37, reportedly from typhoid contracted from bad well water. He is listed along with others in the family as a member of the Diagonal Community Band.
