* Commemorative Biographical Record Carroll, Ohio by J. H. Beers & Co. 1891, pg 990 Jonah came to America as a young man locating in Virginia, where he reared a family of children. After a residence of several years in Loudon County, Virginia, where he followed agricultural pursuits, he moved to Ohio and settled in Columbiana County where he died. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and one of the many colonists who fought for the establishment of the great Republic.
