Documentation:
* Clark Co. Marriage Records;
* Beers History of Champaign Co. OH pg. 838;
* Tombstones & DAR Records of Union Chapel Cemetery, Union Twp. Champaign Co. OH;
* Champaign Co. OH Marriage Records;
* Obits from Champaign Co. newspapers found in old Johnson Family Bibles.
* Champaign and Clark Co. Public Libraries.
* Notice of Settlement of Estates, Dec. 1, 1832 in "The Western Pioneer "[Clark Co. newspaper Dec. 22, 1832 issue}.
* "Early Clark County, Ohio Families VITAL STATISTICS" VOL. V.
Notes:
* Family data stated that Jesse's father's name was "James", and that he was a Baptist circuit preacher. This seems
to be borne out by the marriage records of Jesse, and Lavina's obit. He was the presiding minister for his childrens
weddings, as well as known connecting families. There were more children, but we are not able to connect them as of Oct.
2, 2004 Child 1 is listed as "d/o Rev. James Johnson" in Marriage Records. Clark Co. was formed from Champaign Co. OH.
Some early marriage records are in either county. We can find no records of him after 1832.
