Application for Letters of Administration.
The state of Ohio, Warren County in Probate Court. J. Mill Thompson,
being duly sworn, says that William C. Irwin, a residence of Township
of
Deerfield in said county, died on or about the 3rd day of February,
A.D.
1896, and that there is not, to the knowledge of his affiant, any last
Will and Testament of said decedent; that the said William C. Irwin
died
leaving Sarah Irwin his widow and the following persons his only heirs
at
law.

decedent over 15 years of age at time of his decease. The undersign
asks
to be appointed administrator of the estate of said decedent, and on
his
oath aforesaid says the amount of personal property will be about
$30,000.00 and of real estate about $35,000.00 Total $65,000.00
That he believes that it will not be necessary to sell the real estate
or
any part thereof to pay debts.
Offer a bond in the sum of $60,000.00 with C. D. Thompson, E. C. Morrison
and J. Lee Thompson, all freeholders of this county, as sureties thereon,
and on his oath that he believes the sureties are good and ample and
sufficient, and suggests James Vauhoom, Wm. C. McVay and O. H. Furman
as
appraisers.

In 1886, On March 27 the Mason Prebyterian Church had "jug breaking"
and
on May 22 the Universalist Church held a lawn fete, Eliza Nixon wrote
in
her diary. In late July she went blackberrying in Willliam Irwin's
woods
and the next week she attended a lawn fete held in Hufford's yard for
benefit of the Fellowship Church.
