* John and Barbara moved to Knox Co., TN ca 1794. They separated and she returned to Lincoln Co., NC between 1798-1800 where her name appears on records. Her Helterbrand children remained with John and intermarried with the Cherokee Nation. All but Michael died on the reservation in Oklahoma.
