Martin Cutbirth came to Missouri from Kentucky in the early 1820's with his parents, Jeremiah & Elizabeth (Adams) Cutbirth, and settled near Ocie in OzarkCo. near the Taney Co. line. Martin homesteaded 130 acres of land on 7 Mar 1892. On 22 Oct 1899 Martin married Mintie Harless, daughter of Andrew & Sarah (Thornton) Harless. Martin & Mintie had five children.
