eyes- hazel, hair- brown. Captured at Dalton, Georgia 5 Dec 1864.
Confined at Goldsboro, N.C. admitted to prison hops No.3 Goldsboro, N.C.
Feb 23 1865...honorably discharged at Camp Chase, Ohio 9 June 1865.

Herald, Monday 24 October 1932, Carthage, Missouri, Oct 24--Funeral services for
Allen J. Bobb, a Civil War Veteran and Jasper County resident 59 years, who died
at 11:50 Sat night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. C. Grieb, 734 West Central
Ave, will be held at 2:00 tomorrow at the Knell Service Home, with the Rev. John
Moore, Pastor of the Neosho Methodist Church in charge. Burial will be in Park
Cemetery here. Mr.
Bobb, who was born 25 July 1843 Beaverstown, PA, became seriously about Sept. 18
at Freeport, Illinois, after he had attended the annual convention of the G.A.R.
(Grand Army of the Republic) at Springfield, Illinois. He was brought here last
Tues. His death was attributed to influenza. During the war Mr. Bobb served with
Company C in the 32nd Illinois Infantry and near the close of the war was
imprisoned for three months in Florence Prison in Virginia. Surviving besides
the daughter Mrs. Grieb, are another daughter Mrs. Esther Chitwood, at home,
three sisters, Mrs. Eveline Bolender of Beledier, Illinois, Mrs. Lila Miller of
Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Sadie Haupt of Cleveland, Ohio, a brother Aaron Bobb of
Woodland, Calif., and two grandchildren and two great grandchildren."
