Documentation:
Susan Copsey (some say it is Curtsey) married John William Bell.
Her parents, George Higgins and Sally Higgins were living in MO. when they had
Susan in 1871. Susan was known to be one of the first automobile fatalities in
US history between Springer and Dawson, NM. Evidently, John Bell was driving.
John's mother was known to be Cherokee Indian and we feel she and our
GrGrGrandfather, George William Bell hid out so not to be put on the
reservation.
Martha P. Patterson-Bell, Sue Bell-Hesser, Judith Hesser-Lopez,
Zale Bell-Nagler and various other relatives.
