1. Obituary saved by my mother-in-law, Pauline CHUNN ROACH.
"MRS. JOHN WAMMACK.
Mrs. Mary Etta Wammack, age 80, member of a well known Tippah Co. family, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dan CARTER, on Dec. 25th. The funeral service was held at the Jacobs Chapel Methodist Church, of which she was a member, on the following day. She was a daughter of the late Steve CHILDERS and Mrs. Linnie GRIFFIN CHILDERS, and was a widow of the late John WAMMACK.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Dan CARTER, Mrs. Ike CARTER, Mrs. WalteR Smith, and Mrs. Ernest SPARKS, all of Tippah Co; also two sisters, Mrs. Jennie CLARK, and Mrs. Ed AUSTIN, of Oklahoma; four brothers, E.L. CHILDERS, John CHILDERS, Obie CHILDERS, all of Tippah Co., MS and Dr. Joe CHILDERS of Oklahoma.
R.L. NANCE and Co. had charge of funeral arrangements."
2. Her tombstone says, "Mary Etta CHILDERS, wife of J.D.
WAMMACK Sept. 19, 1869, Dec. 25, 1949. She died as she lived, trusting in God."
