* Joel Selman remarried Eliza Fulgham in 1862. Joel Hunter Selman died not long after he was married and had no children. Hiram Baldwin Selman did not appear to have any children before he died. John C Selman had a son named Robert J Selman. David George Selman had 2 or 3 sons. He died young and left the children to be raised by their stepmom/aunt.They were raised in Louisana/ Monroe area. William F Selman, if he had children from his first 2 marriages, they don'tshow on the census. His last marriaage was to Emerline Byrd, daughter of Raon Byrd of Franklin Co., Mississippi. Emerline was about 45 years younger than William F Selman. They had William Walter Selman, Lucy Rebecca Selman, and Martha Selman. Emerline had another daughter named Margerat.
* Elizabeth Selman married George Walker Grant , he was much older than her, and is believed to be a cousin of her fathers from his mother side. (Walker) They had about 5 children , but most of them died you. She had a Martha , Hiram Baldwin, and Henry Clay that lived to old age. She married a second time to Drury Brown. Emerline Selman married Benoni Hurlbutt and moved to OHIO, before the Civil War. She had a son that fought on the union side and a younger son named David,that came back south and lived with the Grant Family. Jane Prince Selman married William F Smith. They lived at Church Hill and buried at the cemerty there. They had a son named Emanual Smith, I can't seen to find out what happened to him. They had a Daughter named Martha Jane that married a Latham.
