Benjamin was born in McNairy Co., TN. He was a retired carpenter. Benjamin was the son of Leroy Adolphus Hardin and Lettie Vice Hardin. Lettie was the second wife of Leroy. Ben had two brothers and four sisters: Henry, Lee, Kizzy, Jane, Mattie and Julia.
  There were four half brothers: William A., John M., Jackson, and Thomps. One of those brothers, John M., raised 8 children in Alcorn Co. They were Ethyl, Harris, Frank, Thomas, Herman, Kate, Susie and Eleanor. Eleanor, living at the time of this publication, resides in the old home place on Shiloh Road.
