Documentation:
* My gr-gr-uncle Barney Ford, son of the above John Ford, went back to Mississippi
in the early 1930s just prior to his death and visited with many of the family members. He
interviewed family members and visited Bear Creek Cemetery and the Old Crystal Springs
Cemetery. My great-aunt Pearl took his information in the 1950s and compiled a booklet
entitled, "LEE, BROWN, BROOME, FORD." My father, Cecil G. Ford, continued the research in
the 1960s and 1970s by visiting relatives and keeping records of marriages, births, and
deaths. I took up the cause in the 1970s and have continuously worked on my family lines.
I have used census records, marriage records, and obituaries to compile my information.
