 Documentation: Primary source is Robert A. ROSENBERRY'S Civil War Diary
where he writes an account of his company's manuvers over approximately a
30 day period. In it he also give some personal data. He and his wife met
and married in Mason Co, West Virginia.  We find him and his wife and two
of their children there in the 1870 Census. We find them again and four
children in the 1880 Census in Green Fork, Randolph Co, Indiana under the
name of ROSENBERG(soundex). Obituaries state that they moved to Randolph
Co,IN in 1876 and then to Jay Co,IN in 1883. In 1884 they moved to
Anthony, Harper Co,KS and then to Meade, Meade Co, KS in 1885. In the
1900 Census, Mary states that she had five children, but only four are
living. Her obituary states this also. We do not yet know of the missing
child's name, birth, or death, just that there was a child. Also in the
1900 Census, we find Francis Marion(widower), Jacob Elmer(unmarried),
Albert Osborn(unmarried), and a grandson, Lynus, Francis Marion's son,
living with Mary(who is widowed also). Robert and his wife and three of
the five children are buried in Meade,Ks.  In Mary's obituary,their known
daughter Lucy A. Sather was living in Epratha Washington. Final sources
are birth and death records from a ledger at the Meade county courthouse.
