Documentation: Primary sources are birth and death certificates,

bible, personal papers, obituaries, and memorial stones in Graceland
Cemetery. Don Rosenberry grew up in Meade, leaving only to attend
Lindsburg College, KS. He was a talented musician and he and his wife
sang many a duet. Don worked for the City of Meade for almost 35 years,
first as City Clerk and later as City Superintendent, until his death
in
1966. Virginia attended business college in Dodge City, Kansas.
After
graduation, she worked for a lawyer in Liberal, Seward Co, KS and then
a
lawyer in Meade, Meade Co, KS until her marriage to Don Rosenberry.
She
was well known to the people of Meade County, as she was active in
the
community and worked in the ASCS office until her death in 1969. Their
had two children and six grandchildren. Donna their first born grew
up in
Meade and became a bookkeeper, wife and mother. Dean went to KU and
was
in the National Guard. He and his wife went to cosmotology school and
started their own business in Meade. .
