bibles and family pictures. William Alexander McIntosh was a
Representative of the 50th District to the Kansas Legislature in the 1966 - 1967
session. He was a member of the GAR having fought in the battle of
Westport. Mr. McIntosh bought the land for Hammond, Kansas from the
original owner, sold plats to individuals and businesses and donated land for
the building of the Methodist Church. After the death of his wife he
married Frances Augusta Schwatken.
