Documentation:
I am Herbert's granddaughter so all this is family
history. Much of this is verified in Clinton Vital Records although we
know there was a sixteenth child who should have been a twin to an earlier
birth. Harriet was supposed to have had sixteen children including three
sets of twins but I've never been able to verify the second and third set
of twins. Many of the Davis family are buried in Springdale Cemetery in
Clinton. The family lived at 109 2nd Street for over sixty years.
