Francis was not yet 13 when he arrived at Somerset, PA. He lived with the David Sill
family after his father died at sea on the voyage to America.

Elizabeth Boyer Fantz's sister Theresa (Tarfey) married Jonas Sill.

Amos Fantz moved to Hepler, KS in 1878.

Josiah Fantz Age 33 in 1880 IL Census.

Caroline signed her name as "Callie" on papers after the death of her father. Her nieces
and nephew called her "Aunt Cal".

Elizabeth signed her name as "Lizzie" on papers after the death of her father. Later,
according to her son Roy, she was "Aunt Liz" to nieces and nephews. She along with her
parents and ten siblings traveled from PA to IL by covered wagon in about 1865 when
she was 9 years old.

Theresa was only 5 1/2 years old when her father died and 7 1/2 when her mother died. She
signed her name Therasah S. Fantz on a note in her father's will. Buried beside her sister
Mary Fantz Swallow in Longmont, CO
