Notes:
* Eugene STEVENS was quite prominent as an Assayer / Chemist in the Georgetown, Leadville area and worked for
American Smelting in Leadville. About 1907, he and his second wife, Ino moved to Boulder County, Colorado, where he
developed a Tungsten Camp in Boulder Canyon below the Barker Dam at Nederland, Colorado. It was originally named
"Stevens Camp" and later changed to "Tungsten. Eugene died January 20, 1923 of Asthma, Myocarditis and other
complications aggravated by his mining activities. He was 69 years old and was buried in the Green Mountain Cemetery, in
Boulder, Colorado. His wife, Ino, lived in the home until her death in 1941 and is buried beside her husband. The
property had been sold to the University of Colorado for $100.00 and is now part of the Folsum Football Stadium and
practice field.
* Ophelia "Phe" Ann HEATLEY, born September 3, 1861, born at the confluence of Cherry Creek and the Platte River, in
Colorado Territory. Daughter of Francis Perrin HEATLEY and Ellen O'HANLON HEATLEY. The family came by covered wagon,
drawn by oxen, from Chicago, Illinois, arriving in St. Charles/Auraria about June 6, 1860.
