* William Immigrated to Baltimore MD when a young man. During the War of 1812, he served on the privateer "Joseph and Mary"; was taken prisoner when that vessel was captured by the British 25-NOV-1812; escaped near Jamaica by cutting a hole in the side of the ship and returned to the US. He enlisted in the 1st Rifle Battalion (Pinkney's) Maryland Militia as a private in Captain Edward Aisquith's Company of Riflemen and served from 19 Aug to 18 Oct 1814. This information is from the National Archives and from the biography of his son George Washington Henry.
* On 21-Apr-1879, 2 years before her death, a jury found Mary Beeler to be a distracted person and appointed a conservator. This and other data is on file with her will. Marriage date verified by Probate Court 12 Mar 1879.
* John Wesley Henry died intestate on Friday 08 Jan 1926. His final papers are deposited, Box 630 Case 15650, the McLean Co IL county office building in Bloomington, IL. See separate file which list 2 daughters and 11 grandchildren as the only heirs. Will was filed 22 APR 1926.
