Documentation:
* Daniel FOWLER had a land sale recorded in 1768 to Robert ROLLINS. This was possibly a brother-in-law. Daniel had extensive property holdings in Duplin Co. in the part just west of the line that later became Sampson Co., NC. Up until 1774 he bought and sold at least six plats in the Cane Creek-Six Runs area. He also owned land on an absentee basis north of Whiteville in Brunswick Co. (later Columbus Co.) which he (or his son David) disposed of as late as 1784. The above from "History of the Fowlers of Southeastern North Carolina" by Richard Gildart FOWLER. (WSH)
