Notes:
* William & Sarah Starling came to Florida circa 1855. This is the time a couple of Land grants are issued in his name. The family came from Camden County, Georgia and settled in St. Johns County, Florida. By 1870 they were in Nassau County with several Pringle children living in their household. It is not known if these children were grandchildren or orphans taken in. By the 1880's they were back in the St. Johns County, area. They lived in an area named Orange Mills, which is near the present town of Palatka, Florida. They evidently had died by 1900, since no other reference was found concerning them.
* William Starling was a justice of the peace and also farmed.
* The son John Issac Starling is thought to have died in the Civil War. This is not conclusive.
* This couple still has descendants in North Florida and it is thought that some of their children are buried in St. Johns County, Florida.
* This couple is NOT the same William & Sarah Starling written about in the Folks Huxford "Pioneers of Wiregrass, Georgia."
