* William H Jones, Judge 1862-1863. Sat on court 3 April 1862 trying Paris Strickland for treason.
* A story by Mary Pell WRIGHT JONES, published in the Marshall newspaper telling of her experience during the Civil War and the killing/murder of Charles T JONES, his son and her husband, Seborn, by members of a scout of Co M, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry (Union). Mary Pell Wright Jones, wrote that she was 17 when her in-laws went to Texas, that must have been late 1865 or early 1866.
