Documentation:
* Goodspeed's History of Pope County on Jackson J. Bowden page 213. This article states that he and Salina Lay had six children, two of whom were alive when this article was written. These two would have been Mary Reynolds and James Taylor Bowden.
* I have an obituary written by Rev. John Wesley Bowden, a nephew of Jackson J. Bowden at his death.
* Jackson J. Bowden remarried after the death of Salina to Narcissa E. Bewley on 12 Aug 1852 in Pope County, Arkansas. Goodspeed's history said they had 10 children, three of which died in infancy. See wife No. 2 for these children.
