* I have found no proof that Mandy GEORGE was Reuben and Margaret LYNN GEORGE's daughter except for circumstancial facts: she married in Andrew County MO when Reuben Jr.'s family was living there; the birthdate the SHIPMAN book has for her (1826) was after Reuben Jr. had married Margaret LYNN GEORGE (1825) but before he married Nancy McCOTTER GEORGE (1828). The SHIPMAN book dates Charles and Mandy's marriage a year off the HODGES book dates, but Mandy GEORGE still would have been around 17 or 18 at a January 1844 or 1845 marriage. Charles and Mandy SHIPMAN moved to Prairie DuSac WI in 1846.
