Notes:
* My father is Preston Walston. He was born in 1921 in Cameron Texas. He left his home after the death of his father and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. He married my mother, Mary Marie Pace in 1941. He served in World War II on the USS Maryland as an electrician's mate from 1942 till 1945. He later became a home builder in Corpus Christi for 40 years until his death in 1978.
  We made many trips through Cameron on Highway 77 to see his mother in Waco Texas. He talked to me about his life on the farm on the Brazos River and only being able to attend school until the 7th grade. He was very proud of Cameron and his family and I do this research in his and his family's memory.
