Documentation:
* James and Lois Adams came to Texas around 1840 and show on Harrison County Tax roles in 1840 and 1841, prior to Cass County or Marion County. They came from Madison County MS. James received 4705 acres in a land grant and 2700 acres was around Uncertain TX on Caddo Lake, as indicated on the Headrights Map for Texas. The burial site for either James or Lois has not been found. They were people of means and should have a stone marking their burial sites.
