Willard Bond POOLE, 91
Willard Bond POOLE, age 91, of Cleveland, formerly of Rockwood, died
Saturday, April 19.
He was of the Baptist faith and is the oldest member of the Cardiff Baptist
Church. He is a retired machinist with Charles H. Bacon Co. and a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War 11.
He was preceded in death by parents, Malcom and Mary POOLE; brother,
Dorsey POOLE; sister: Mary POOLE GRAVES; and wife, Thelma GREEN POOLE.
He is survived by sons, Dennis and wife, Janet POOLE of Jacksboro, and
Wayne and wife, Carol POOLE of Charleston; daughter, Becky and husband,
Dicky LIVINGSTON of Loudon; grandchildren, Alex POOLE, Marcie ELDRIDGE,
Whitney POOLE, Wendy BLABKENSHIP, Nikki RICHESIN, step-grandchildren,
Lisa SMITH, and Kennifer WILSON; great-grandchildren, Matthew ROGERS,
Brooke and Bailey RICHESIN; brother Manuel POOLE of Rockwood; sister,
Marie DAVIS of Rockwood and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were monday, April 21, at 8 p.m. from the chap-el of Eveans
Mortuary with Rev. Carl Arms officiating. Graveside services and interment were
Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the
Roane Co. Military Memorial Honor Guards.

Mary P. GRAVES
Mary P. GRAVES 85, of Harriman passed away Tuesday afternoon May 22,
2001 ar Rockwood Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Lewis GRAVES, parents; Malcom and Mary POOLE, brother, Dorsey
POOLE. Mrs. Graves was retired from Burlington and Roane Hosiery Mills. She
was active in church work spending many years as vacation bible school director
and Sunday School teacher at Cardiff Baptist Church in Rockwood. She later
taught Sunday School classes at Riverside Baptist Church in Harriman.
Survivors: sister Marie Davis of Rockwood, brothers:Manuel Poole of Rockwood,
Willard Poole of Rockwood, sons and aughters-in-law Don and Barbara Graves of
Harriman, David and Carol Graves of Lenoir City, Grandsons, Brian Graves of
Lenoir City, Mark and wife Amy Graves of Harriman, Granddaughters, Jennifer
and husband Keith Kirkpatrick of Knoxville, Teresa and husband Johney Kirkland
of Lenoir City. 3 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will meet 1 p.m. Thursday at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman for a
graveside services for 2 p.m. in Willard Park Cemetery with Rev. Mason Goodman
officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to:The
Cardiff Baptist Church Building Fund, 150 Delozier Lane, Rockwood. Tn. 37854.

Marie P. DAVIS
Marie POOLE, DAVIS, 85, formerly of Front St., Rockwood. died Friday, Jan. 9,
at Rockwood Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ of Rockwood
and a member of The Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Carter and George Ed
Davis;sister, Mary Graves; and brothers, Willard and Dorsey Poole. She is
survived by brother Manual A. Poole;nephews , Dorsey C. Poole and wife, Mary;
Denny Poole and wife, Janet; Frank Wilson and wife, Carolyn; Wayne Poole and
wife, Carolyn; and David Poole and wife, Sybil; and niece, Becky Blankenship
and husband, Dickie.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 11, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Evans
Mortuary with the Rev. Ron Buck officiating. Graveside and interment followed in
the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.
